LEGO Disney 100th anniversary sets revealed online, including 43217 ‘Up’ House

Images of even more LEGO Disney 100th anniversary sets have surfaced online, revealing a new Disney train and the rumoured 43217 ‘Up’ House.

Both of these sets are expected to join existing Disney 100th anniversary models – such as 40622 Disney 100th Celebration – on shelves on April 1, and each come in packaging that marks the House of Mouse’s centennial birthday. The first images are pretty small, having popped up on the product certification page, but the models will hopefully be revealed in full very soon.

You can check out both new sets below, one of which will be a very pleasant surprise for Pixar fans. Their prices and piece counts come courtesy of Brickset. Also expected to join these sets on April 1 is 43220 Peter Pan & Wendy’s Storybook Adventure, which similarly surfaced through the LEGO Group’s official product certification page yesterday.

43212 Disney Celebration Train

Price: £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 200 Minifigures: 6 Release date: April 1, 2023

This 4+ set includes an eclectic selection of characters from across Disney history, which makes it a fitting way to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. From what we can see on the box, the character line-up for 43212 Disney Celebration Train consists of Moana, Woody, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell (previously only available in 71040 The Disney Castle), Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

43217 ‘Up’ House

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 598 Minifigures: 3 Release date: April 1, 2023

Multiple LEGO Ideas projects have floated the idea of releasing an official LEGO set based on Pixar’s Up, and it’s now finally happening directly through the LEGO Disney theme. The colourful 43217 ‘Up’ House includes minifigures of Carl, Russell and Dug, and plenty of balloons attached to the top of the house (though not quite enough to replicate the film). The jury’s out on whether Kevin is in the box, though…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
