LEGO Ideas design pays tribute to 2D adventure game

The latest LEGO Ideas set to gain 10,000 supporters is an homage to Hollow Knight, a 2D adventure game.

Including brick-built versions of different game characters, such as The Knight, Hornet, Cornifer the Cartographer, and The Last Stag, the design recreates the crossroads from Hollow Knight. The game was first released in 2017 and sees the player control the Knight, a nameless insectoid warrior, who explores Hallownest, a fallen kingdom plagued by a supernatural disease.

The dark scenery is captured by LEGO lamp posts, stone walls, and insect-like characters. Spec ial attention has been given to the bench, a well-known icon from the game.

This is the first design from the creator, Ben Osborne, to reach 10,000 supporters. It’s also the twentieth set to make it into the first review round of 2023, joining the list just one day after Ogel Creek Saw Mill. Here’s a reminder of all the other sets so far.
