The Mighty Bowser and Optimus Prime want to start a LEGO jam band

The LEGO Ideas theme may have 21334 Jazz Quartet, but there’s a Mecha-Koopa mashup that’s looking to rock out.

Music. It’s a subject that gets addressed by the LEGO Group more than you might think. There have been any number of musicians in the Collectible Minifigure range over the years. There’s the whole Vidiyo theme, and the none-more-colourful Friends range has shaken its groove thang on a few occasions with sets like 41106 Pop Star Tour Bus.

LEGO Ideas has had a few music-based sets too, and they were seemingly the inspiration for one enterprising US LEGO store, when they placed 71411 The Mighty Bowser in their window, rocking out with the Ideas set 21329 Fender Stratocaster. This was spotted by Redditor, GreatDepression and posted in the r/lego reddit.

The King of the Koopas and the classic guitar look like they were made for each other, as Bowser throws a perfect guitar hero pose and gets ready to shred. But it doesn’t stop there. Another inventive Redittor, mister____mime clearly thinks that it’s time that the Jazz Quartet had some competition, and has 10302 Optimus Prime seated at 21323 Grand Piano saying ‘Yo Bowser, want to start a band?’

With an enormous mech at the  grand piano and a howling guitar played by Bowser (or maybe that should be BOWZZZA), we’re envisaging some kind of Meatloaf / Jim Steinman type rock opera – anyone for “Brick Out Of Hell”?
