LEGO teams up with Peugeot at Le Mans for endurance building challenge
The LEGO Group is celebrating 100 years of the 24-hour endurance racing event at Le Mans with an endurance test of its own.
Joining Peugeot at Le Mans, the LEGO Group will be undertaking a 24-hour building event alongside the 100th endurance racing event, the Centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans. While motorsport pros take on the Circuit 24 Hours of Le Mans, the LEGO Group will be building a life-sized version of LEGO Technic 42156 PEUGEOT 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar.
The event kicks off today (June 10) and runs for 24 hours, until June 11. The LEGO Group has started sharing updates to its Instagram account and promises more live updates to come over the next day. Check out a teaser for the challenge via the embedded tweet below.
This isn’t the first partnership between Peugeot and the LEGO Group, aside from the aforementioned set, of course. Peugeot drivers also got the chance to get up close and personal with the miniature version of their car, while the model itself captures every detail of the sleek motorsport vehicle.
